On 10th September authorities were notified of a building fire at an industrial estate in Moorebank. Whilst extinguishing the fire it was noted that a significant volume of liquid was generated which resulted in the uncontrolled release of fire-fighting water runoff and other substances into the easement adjoining the fire-damaged building and surrounding premises.
Reditus was engaged to prepare a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) to ensure the site is cleaned up to remedial standards and to ensure it is suitable for proposed commercial/industrial land use. Additionally the RAP provides measures to minimise risk to human health while implementing remedial works.
